1024px-heavenly_lift

Planning to visit Lake Tahoe for a fun and adventurous time? If so, you will surely not be disappointed.  There are plenty of awesome things to do for people of all ages, including children and the elderly. In fact, if you are looking for a good source of entertainment, consider checking out one or more of the many different options mentioned below.

1. Spend Time at the Heavenly Mountain Resort

The Heavenly Mountain Resort is one of the most popular resorts in the Lake Tahoe area. There are several good reasons why tourists choose to spend their time there. Those who are hanging out at the resort will have the opportunity to participate in various activities, including skiing on assorted slopes, fishing by the lake and even snowboarding. If you have never tried skiing or snowboarding, it would be a great time for you to learn while visiting the Heavenly Mountain Resort.

There are a number of restaurants on the premises, too. Some of the great places you can visit to grab something delicious to eat include the Café Blue, Tamarack Lodge and Heavenly Donuts. Whether you want some sweet and delicious donuts for breakfast or pizza with a side salad, there are plenty of options offered here at these restaurants that will surely keep you full and satisfied throughout your entire trip.

2. Go For a Hike on the Eagle Falls Trail

During a trip to Lake Tahoe, you certainly do not want to miss out on the Eagle Falls Trail. Many people like to go hiking specifically on this trail because of the amazing scenery, including a close glimpse of waterfalls. There is something naturally calming and serene about watching the water flow down the rocks while walking along the path. Anyone who enjoys nature would enjoy going for a hike on this highly-rated trail.

One of the great things about this specific type of trail is that it is not too long or strenuous. Those who are relatively new to hiking or people who would simply prefer to take a short trip will enjoy being able to get a good view of the beautiful trees, shrubs and waterfalls without having to do way too much walking, which makes this the perfect place for the entire family.

If you are planning to travel with your dog, you can even bring your furry companion with you while walking along this trail. Dogs are absolutely welcome, but you must make sure to clean up after them if they happen to use the bathroom while out as a way of keeping the trail clean and beautiful.

3. Have Family Fun at the Nevada State Park

The Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park is a local hot spot. Not only are tourists coming to visit the park, but locals are also spending their time there as well. One of the main reasons people enjoy spending so much time here is because of the beautiful blue lake water. Many lakes around the country have a dark and murky color to them, so spending time in water that looks so clean and beautiful is an additional bonus for those who want to get wet.

You can do many things while at this state park. For example, you can prepare a picnic and spend time with the family. If you would prefer to participate in some activities, there are plenty available, such as parasailing, jet skiing and riding on a boat just to enjoy the scenery. You could rent out a boat for the entire family, hop on board and spend hours just cruising along the water while observing the scenery.

4. Go Fishing on the Lake

Did you know you could rent out a boat and go fishing on it? You could potentially spend the entire day trying to catch all kinds of fish. If fishing is something you enjoy, consider renting a boat during your trip to Lake Tahoe. However, fishing is not the only thing you can do while you are in the water.

In fact, some people like to go tubing. Can you imagine resting on an inner tube while soaking up the sun, splashing around in the water and having fun with your family? It is entirely possible to make that happen during your trip.

5. Visit Harrah’s Lake Tahoe

After spending a lot of your time outdoors, you may want to head inside to have even more fun. The Harrah’s Lake Tahoe is a hotel and casino that offers plenty of slot machines and table games for adults. While this may not be a kid-friendly activity, it is something you can do alone, with your friends or even with your significant other.

Some of the table games at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe include blackjack, craps, roulette and poker. If you are feeling lucky and are in the mood to gamble a bit, you could make an attempt to win a huge cash prize. You never know if you will end up leaving the casino with even more money than you had when you first walked through those doors.

6. Go on the Around Tahoe Tours

If you have never been to Lake Tahoe before, you may want to learn more about the area. The Around Tahoe Tours offers an educational and fun experience for all tourists who want to hear more about the history of the area, along with what they can expect to see while they are there. You can choose to go on a private tour with your family members or a group tour with other people who are traveling to the area just like you.

7. Get an Aerial View on the Tahoe Helicopters

Although you may already be amazed by all of the beautiful scenery in the area, there is an even better way to get an in-depth look at Lake Tahoe. Helicopter rides are available for visitors who are interested in getting an aerial view of the area. The pilots are experienced and knowledgeable, so they can tell you everything you want to know about Lake Tahoe.

The helicopter rides are great for small families or couples who are looking to enjoy a romantic experience. The entire ordeal is truly enchanting and even a bit exhilarating. The pilot allows guests to choose the route they wish to take, allowing them to get a view of everything they want to see during the ride. You can expect to see plenty of tall mountains, beautiful lake water and loads of tall trees while on the helicopter ride.

If you are planning to travel to Lake Tahoe at some point in the near future, you may want to know more about the different types of entertainment available. There are dozens of different things you can do while you are visiting, whether you want to swim around in the lake, learn how to snowboard or even get on a helicopter to get an aerial view of the scenery.

You can go on educational tours and learn new things about Lake Tahoe and its history. The experience you will have during your stay will be like nothing you have ever experienced before.

Because there are so many great things to do, you might want to consider creating an itinerary to keep track of the different activities you would like to take part in while you are there. As long as you have a list prepared, you will never run out of fun, fresh and exciting new things to do in an area best known for its beautiful lakes and hiking trails.
