Sci-Fi Fantasy Con

If you’re a fan of science fiction and fantasy, you should consider attending the 2017 Sci-Fi Fantasy Con. This convention is going to take place at the Lake Tahoe Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on September 29th. A number of big-name guests will be making appearances at the convention.

The Tahoe Games Bike Nights

If you like to spend time outdoors in the fall, you’ll definitely want to be a part of the Tahoe Games! This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and go biking at night.  The next event is on September 29th.  Click here for more information!

Los Lobos

If you’re a fan of Los Lobos, you may want to see the band play at Lake Tahoe this fall! The Grammy-winning band is going to be taking the stage at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa on October 6th. At the show, you can expect to hear classic songs like “Set Me Free Rosa Lee” and “Tears of God.”

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds have performed in the Lake Tahoe area in the past, and they are set to perform here again this fall. Seeing the Thunderbirds is an amazing experience, and you should absolutely try to check them out if you can.  They will be at the Minden-Tahoe airport October 7th and 8th.  For more information, click here.

Oktoberfest

Fall means Oktoberfest, and that’s one of the many Lake Tahoe events going on this Fall. If you’re a fan of German cuisine — or German beer — you’ll want to spend some time at this festival. The 23rd Annual Oktoberfest event is being held at the Historic Richardson Camp Resort on October 7-8.

Fall Fish Fest

Fall is a wonderful season for fishing, and it’s also the perfect time to check out the Fall Fish Fest. This event, which will take place on October 7th and 8th, is perfect for fishing fans and children alike.  Some of the activities include:

  • Treasure Hunt
  • Fish Painting
  • Mascots – Lulu the Lahontan Cutthroat Trout and Sandy and Rocky Salmon
  • A visit from Smokey Bear!
  • Giant inflatable Lahontan Cutthroat Trout – sponsored by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
  • Bumble Bee Ice Cream Truck

Dave Mason

Dave Mason is a rock legend. His 1970 album Alone Together is considered to be one of the greatest rock albums of all time. He will be performing all of the tracks from this album at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe October 1st. If you’ve listened to this album over and over, you’ll definitely want to hear it played live. Mason is an incredible talent, and his music is just as memorable as it was decades ago.

Eric Burdon And The Animals

There are some amazing musical events going on at Lake Tahoe this fall. Eric Burdon, who is considered to be one of the greatest voices in all of rock ‘n roll, is going to be performing with his band The Animals October 7th at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.  For tickets, visit Ticketmaster.

Burdon is the man behind songs like Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” and “We Gotta Get Out of This Place.” If you’re a fan of his music, you should absolutely try to attend this October show.

Improv Events

While some events at Lake Tahoe only last for a single day, improv is something that you can see all the time. If you love great comedy, you’ll have a lot of fun at one of these shows. Because the comedy is improvised, these shows are different every single time.  The Improv Comedy Club at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe is one of the best Tahoe venues.  Check out their website here.

The Freaker’s Ball

The Freaker’s Ball is Lake Tahoe’s largest Holloween party.  This annual party will be held this year on Saturday, October 28th at 8om.  Tickets go on sale to the public on August 29th at 10am PDT and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.

As is the case with circuses, this ball has several “rings”. There are incredible costumes and some fantastic entertainment. From go-go dancers to live music, this is a Ball you’ll never be able to forget.

Chris Botti

The trumpet is a beautiful instrument, and there are few people that can play it the way Chris Botti can. An American trumpeter and composer, Botti has performed at venues all over the world, and he is now going to be performing at the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe on October 28th. Botti’s jazz music is sure to appeal to a variety of people!  Tickets can be purchased at Stub Hub.

The Lake Tahoe Marathon

Lake Tahoe isn’t just about casinos and music. It’s also the perfect place for sports fans. If you want to see athleticism at Lake Tahoe, you should check out this amazing three-day-long running festival. There are events that casual runners can participate in, and there are also marathons that people spend all year training for. TEDx South Lake Tahoe

Are you a fan of TED talks? If you like watching these speeches online, you might want to take the opportunity to check them out in person on September 29th at Lake Tahoe Community College. You’ll have the opportunity to see a number of speakers, including Travelocity founder Terry Jones and National Geographic photographer Dewitt Jones. Home Free Live In Concert

If you’re a fan of NBC’s The Sing Off, you probably remember Home Free. This all-vocal band, which hails from Minnesota, is the premiere a capella country band in the entire world.

Even if you’ve seen country acts before, you’ve never seen anything like this. These aren’t your ordinary country singers; they’re true performers. They’ll be appearing at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe on November 4th.
